Do you know what it feels like when your body is quiet?  There is no pain, nothing thumping or jumping; just quiet and oh so still.  It is a state of peace.  Once you experience the intensity of chronic pain in the body it is difficult to grasp that the body can become quiet.  In a state of quiet in the body, it feels like a sacred moment when you speak in whispers so that you do not disturb the peace.  You stand still because you do not want to lose the peace; you want to remember what it feels like.  Your spirit rejoices in the stillness.  It is like a gospel song being played without instruments, acapella; you want to hear it over and over again.  The body is playing the rhythm in the key of “G”, God and you want to be one with the harmony of God’s peace.

The earth is a body that is in chronic pain, it cries out, longs for the peace that surpasses all understanding.  It is up to us to give the earth the peace that it needs.  The primary element that humans share with the earth is oxygen.  When the body is at peace it can breathe freely.  We align with the earth; we need peace so that we can breathe freely.

Spending most of our time focusing on negativity will disrupt the flow of peace.  Espousing hate to those who are different from yourself, blocks the gift of peace.  Doing mental, physical and spiritual harm to yourself and others means you prefer conflict over peace.  When we exercise conflict, we transmit the conflict to the earth.  It is an energy exchange.  We were given a command, “God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it.” (Genesis 1:28) To subdue or soothe the earth we must live, move and have our being in the key of G.  It means existing in the rhythm of peace; living in the rhythm of the God within.
