The Language of Fear

The language of fear drives greed. You want to know what fear sounds like?

“They are going to take our jobs.”

“We don’t want them in our neighborhood.”

“Shelters in our neighborhood will drive down our property value.”

“They don’t belong here.”

This is the language of fear that is also driven by greed.  This fear says that one group will impact another group’s finances or way of life.

Little gods, children of God, know, Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”  God determines this, not a man or woman. We work in conjunction with God to improve our lives.  Look at Psalm 27:1, “The Lord is my light and my salvation whom shall I fear?  The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?” If people released their fear, we would spend more time understanding each other; appreciating each other.

Instead of embracing the language, the mindset, of fear it would be beneficial to take on the mind of Christ, the word of God.  The earth, the country, a city or neighborhood does not belong to one group but to all.  Spend more time in prayer to the Lord asking Him to show you how to live as God’s child; the little gods that God wants us to be.
